Koinonia Lecture – Formed and Transformed: Christian Reflections on Genesis, Jesus, and Gender Identity

The Koinonia Lecture Series kicks off on Monday, January 20, at 7 p.m. with The Rev. Kate Malin presenting Formed and Transformed: Christian Reflections on Genesis, Jesus, and Gender Identity. Kate is the rector of Christ's Church in Rye, New York, and the mother of identical-twin 21-year-old transgender daughters Emerson and Murphy. Kate travels widely to preach and teach from her perspective as priest and parent in the hope of building awareness, growing compassion, and nurturing theological understanding of gender and identity in the Bible, the Church, and contemporary society. She will also be our guest preacher on Sunday, January 19.
