The Rev. Caroline Carter

As Assistant Rector, Caroline oversees various pastoral ministries at St. Paul’s, including clergy calls, Eucharistic visitation, healing prayer, and Stephen Ministry (our lay-led pastoral care ministry). She also serves as the staff liaison for St. Paul’s Mission & Service ministries, facilitating outreach efforts and community engagement. Her role provides opportunities for focused periods of work and learning throughout the church in areas such as finance and administration, musical and liturgical planning, and University ministry.

Caroline is originally from Snellville, Georgia, and discovered the Episcopal Church during her teenage years, drawn to its welcoming and inclusive atmosphere. She completed her undergraduate studies with a degree in psychology at Georgia College & State University and earned her Master of Divinity from the Candler School of Theology at Emory University. Prior to her ordination to the priesthood, Caroline served as a chaplain at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta and as the youth minister at St. Columba’s Episcopal Church in Suwanee, Georgia.

Outside of ministry, Caroline enjoys spending quality time with loved ones, experimenting in the kitchen, and wandering through antique stores.
